How to Craft a Fantastic Year? Master Three Rs

golden hour

While 2020 was not what many expected the year to be, nor the start of the new year, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

To help you tough out potentially another 10 to 12 months before we go back to some of the old things we liked to do pre-COVID, I want to share my personal 3 Rs for the year that are to motivate you to keep your chin up, head in the game and doing things to get you to a better place no matter where you are starting from today.

Resilient

Many of us mentally took a beat down in 2020 from losing jobs to losing loved ones unexpectedly.  Every day we need to remember to take a breath, smile, be thankful for what we have and be present for those around you that need you.  If you need help mentally look for podcasts and apps that revolve around meditation, reflection and mindfulness.

Resourceful

After Friday’s job report not being what the market expected in terms of the US shedding 50,000 jobs versus creating 100,000+, we need to take a step back and look deeper at what is really happening.  Is it that there is no work for people to make a living or that more and more full time opportunities are shifting to contract work?  And are more and more individuals finding ways to generate income by getting creative – starting to sell items on eBay or ETSY, providing in-home services, etc.?  This is why we need to become resourceful at figuring out ways to generate income differently from the past.  Those who already “side hustle” know how this works – try it by focusing on what you are an expert in and then coming up with a problem you can solve with no capital in this domain.  Think about packaging your knowledge for those who lack it.

Renewed

Take the opportunity in your downtime or increased time you have due to less travel to renew things like knowledge in an area, personal health or relationships with friends and family.  Or continued time for you to slow down and enjoy life.
