You set up your LinkedIn profile a while back.

Maybe you updated it the last time you were job searching. Maybe you copy-pasted your resume into it. Maybe it just sits there, quietly representing you to every recruiter, client, and decision-maker who finds it.

However, your profile is making an impression whether you are paying attention to it or not.

And for most professionals, that impression is: maybe qualified, but definitely forgettable.

LinkedIn has over 1 billion members. Recruiters, hiring managers, and potential clients are searching the platform every day. They are using specific keywords, filtering by role, by industry, by seniority. They are making decisions in seconds.

If your profile is not built to be found, then you are invisible to the exact people who need what you offer.

Not because you lack the experience. But because your profile is not doing the work it should be.

So what does a profile that actually works look like? It comes down to three things:

  1. Visibility. LinkedIn is a search engine now using AI. If your headline reads “Director of Operations at XYZ Corp,” you are describing where you have been. But it doesn’t communicate your value.
  2. Clarity. When someone lands on your profile, they make a snap judgment in about 7 seconds. Your headline and About section either pull them in or send them back to the search results. A profile built with clarity communicates: here is who I am, here is who I work with, and here is why that matters.
  3. Credibility. The professionals who attract the best opportunities on LinkedIn are not the ones with the most connections. They are the ones who show up consistently. Content that demonstrates expertise, a profile that tells a compelling story, and engagement that aligns to all of the above.

When those three click into place, LinkedIn stops being a platform you feel like you should be using and starts being one that actively works for you.

That is the difference between a profile that collects views and one that creates real momentum.

If you want to see exactly how to make this happen:

I am hosting a free 30-minute webinar, Mastering LinkedIn for Career & Business Success, where I will walk you through the strategies that are working right now to get your profile found, get noticed by the right people, and turn LinkedIn into a consistent source of opportunity.

Whether you are in a job search, growing your business, or building a client base, this is the session that shows you how to make your most visible professional asset actually work for you.
